My favorite little Newfoundland coffee shops: Brewed on Bernard and its original location, Brewed Awakening, both in Corner Brook. Go, West coast! <3 I have so many delightful memories from each place. Examples:
Brewed Awakening is where my high school English teacher bought the sweetest-ever warm drinks for me and a classmate, after we’d taken first and second places in a speaking competition. Not to mention, this is where I first read my dearly beloved Sonnets From the Portuguese. On the other hand … Brewed on Bernard was my hallowed respite from rowdy children for several lunchtimes last summer when I worked at the college day camp. Here, too, have my mother and I played many a luxurious game of Scrabble.
Ah, Brewed. Ah, humanity! Don’t forget to try their whole-grain bagels with hummus. I said DON’T FORGET. Gah. Such tasty bagels.
